A small rubber ring is pulled over the four pins of the tongs, which are then tensioned and and the ring is streched to make it ready for action for the waiting nipple.
When the tongs have gripped the nipple the ring can be rolled off to fit tightly around it.
Only then it becomes clear to the nipple what it got itself into!
The effectiveness can be increased by gripping deeper so that the ring clasps more tissue.
Please test with care!
The rings are very tight and have to be removed without fail after a short time, as there is a risk of the tissue dying off, due to lack of blood flow!
If the tissue swells up so that the ring can't be removed, please carefully make a small incision with some nail scissors until the pressure is reduced.
Opening of rings in un-stretched state:
approx. 5 millimetres.
